Entity Encounter Dimension

Description

An interaction between healthcare practitioners and the patient for the purpose of providing healthcare services to the patient.
The interaction can happen in various settings: within a facility where the patient can be admitted overnight (inpatient stay), as an outpatient, or as a phone consultation.

A number of healthcare events can be grouped under an encounter.
