Entity Cohort

DescriptionA population that is followed in a study. A study might, for example, determine the relationship between a condition and a characteristic shared by some members of the cohort or the response of members of the cohort to a medication.

For example:
A birth cohort (patients born during the same time period)
A group of patients exposed to the same infectious agent
